I don’t know how to tell you this,
but if I don’t I’ll regret it more than anything.
So, here goes…
Thing is she’s the one who holds your heart,
the one that gets to kiss your lips,
the one that gets to hold you in her arms,
the one you love,
and I'd give anything to take her place.
But I'm the one sitting next to you,
trying to explain that,to put the love I have for you into words
is just as in possible as counting all the stars in the sky.
Yet, I mean nothing to you.
And I've tried to come to terms with that,
and I guess I'm ok with it now.
But it hurts, "not just in the imagination,
not just in the mind.
It's a soul-hurt,
a real gets-inside-you-and-rips-you-apart pain."
But that's ok, cause I'll never stop loving you,
ever
